Project Management - Product Development
Project Date: Jan 2018 - Feb 2019
My job responsibility in Foxconn Technology Group as a marketing associate includes the hat of a project manager. I was assigned as the project lead for printer product development for Sharp Corporation in the China market and the U.S. market. My main duty was to communicate with suppliers, Japan HeadQuarter’s QA team, and regional sales teams on a daily basis to assist in launching new products.
Challenge
The target launch date of the projects was supposed to be 6 months after kick-off. The China project launched successfully within the timeframe. However, the U.S. project encountered a severe delay due to the difficulty to meet the quality standard upheld by the HQ. It took more than 1.5 years to officially launched the products in the U.S. market.
