Brochure design is an interesting experience and challenge that improved my design and technical copywriting skill. Unlike advertisements, product brochure is a straightforward means to present the detail information of your product.they want. At the same time, requiring the visual design to blend in for marketing purposes.
With product manager providing technical specifications and product information, my task was to paraphrase and beautify the sentences to improve the product's marketability. Moreover, working on the visual design to make sure the brochure is well-aligned with our branding strategy, for example, following the rule of color usage and image standard.
It was also a great experience to work with the product manager as marketing and designer roles.
The biggest challenge I faced was selecting what kind of information needed to be put on and organized in what form which is very similar to the work of information architect. Going through wireframing the content structure and layout etc.
Furthermore, it is always important to keep your target audience in mind while upholding the business objectives.
